This is my last weekend here in New York City. It’s currently Saturday, and I’m presently trying to multi-task, and get access to my workplace. Which is at WeWork based out of New york city city about a block far from Times Square. I think in today’s episode, what we’re going to do, is gon na have a little sit down, right there. However I think prior to I do go and take a seat there, given that it is a Saturday and there is nobody else here. Nobody else here at all. Ahhh, I believe it’s probably great for us to do a little trip of this coworking space, and offer you a bit of an insight regarding why I love coworking areas, so much. So let’s start over here, at the treats area. Right, so you’ve got a self-serve treat area over here. You got yer Cokes. You got yer Red Bulls. All self-serve which is really, actually cool. Alrighty, and over here we have actually filtered water which is enjoyable. During the week they usually have a flavoured water thing set over here which is cool. All this is endless so we can have free espresso, which is what you desire, that’s what you enjoy. Otherwise they have actually got drip coffee over here. All the amenities right, all the facilities. And then we have actually got the lunch location here. Take care of the environment, make sure you recycle. You have actually got all the coworking spaces over here, which is really cool. So this pumps during the week. We have actually likewise got mad, incredible views out here. Not a bad view, not the best day, but not a bad view still. And then we’ve got these little cubicles, which are also enjoyable to work in. And this is generally, yeah the coworking area. We have actually got high speed WiFi web all over, we’ve also got the security video cameras up all over in here which is likewise truly enjoyable, because if you have actually got a lot of costly devices like I do, and you’ve likewise got, like,
I’m loading a lot into this backpack. Right, like a lot into this knapsack. If you’ve got a lot of pricey devices, and you are working in a coworking space, it is good to understand that we’ve got all of this security around. I do what to go out, and go for a roam, or go on an experience during the day, I’m able to leave all of my stuff here, sound and save without any tension or fret about it going missing out on. You understand what I mean? This is Flooring 12. Let’s show us the rest of this office. And this is the same office space that I worked out of in 2017 when I lived here for the summer season. Exactly the very same office. An incredible group of individuals, everyone that I’ve met through the WeWork community’s been absolutely remarkable, and all the staff here are extraordinary. Let’s continue. All in here are the private offices. You can either get a personal workplace, or you can just do the hot-desk, coworking desk like I’ve done. Again, simply all private workplaces through here. Nothing truly excessive to see. Got the printer location, and stationary area down here. Something that I simulate, and like I truly, really enjoy this, and it’s also a feature that Flux, the coworking space that I work out of in Perth, on St Georges Balcony, likewise has, they have actually got their own variation of this. And these are private little telephone booths slash with deep work cubicles. So you generally you can get in here, close the door. You’ve got a little light, and you’ve got USB battery charger. I’ve done many, lots of prior to WiFi call here in this booth or in one of these cubicles. Being here it’s just an excellent way to, if you wan na work on something that’s actually private, or if you wan na to have a private conversation, or if you wan na just work in a deep work area with no distractions, these are the locations to work. Carrying on. More private offices. And then the other cool thing is, you’ve got these meeting rooms Wework Wikipedia
which are up in here, and also up there. And this continues, it’s generally the same kind of layout on this flooring as it is upstairs. When you sign up for the office space, and you can work with these private meeting rooms out as part of the credit you get. Now in regards to cost, I think I paid, and fix me if I’m wrong but I think, from memory, I paid about 550 U.S. dollars for a months worth of coworking area here, that includes, use of the printer, use of the web, use of security, 24 seven access to the coworking area. And appearance, in terms of value for cash- I’m gon na set this down ’cause my arm hurts, it’s a heavy video camera. Sorry, in regards to worth for cash it’s just, for me, being able to simply roll into a city, get where I left off, pay-as-you-go, and it’s the same thing with Flux back in Perth. In terms of coworking, for me the ability to be able to roll into a city, pick up where you left off, and even roll into a brand-new city, get set-up with a coworking space, which is safe, which has really fast internet, which has all the features that you need, therefore much more, with a bunch of fantastic people and an amazing community. It’s just, definitely love it. For a digital nomad, for digital business owners, and likewise for business owners that remain in that solo phase. Who’re simply in terms of that start-up phase, and they don’t wan na work from home anymore. Because look, I’ve worked from home before and you can get a bit lonely, and you can get a bit of cabin fever. Coworking spaces are a really, truly, versatile method for you to be able to fulfill new individuals, network. Work in an area which is removed from your house, without investing too much cash. And also without requiring to stress over that repaired dedication. And ABC in Perth in fact interviewed me about this a week or 2 back, and I’ll leave a link to that article perhaps’ll, whoop. ABC in fact interviewed me about why I like coworking areas so much a couple of weeks earlier. So if you’re interested go and check that out. And prior to we end the chat, I think what I’m gon na leave you with is among my favourite, preferred, features about this location. Which is, erm, it’s over here, let’s go. Let’s go. We’ll start, we’ll start here. Get one of these. Among these ones. Ooooh, they’re tapped. They’re tapped. Typically during the week, there is endless complimentary beer on tap here. Today, looks like it’s a no-winner (wawhow music) like I said earlier. Today’s a bit sad, due to the fact that it is my final Saturday, my final weekend here in New York City. And I do fly home to Perth on Tuesday. 33 hour commute, eagerly anticipating that. (bell rings) But it is bitter-sweet, like I am actually ecstatic go home, back to Perth. I’m really thrilled to catch up with my friends, my household, and get back into the grind, and start making relocations, and just getting the little things done. I’m likewise really unfortunate that I’m leaving one of my favourite locations in the world, and leaving some of my favourite people in the world. Yeah. Bitter-sweet is the best way I would describe how I feel today. Extremely bitter-sweet. Look that there concludes this episode of the blog. I’m gon na go ahead and hint the explosion, but before we do that, if you are not already subscribed, go on and hit the Subscribe button. I drop in videos every single Thursday, 6 a.m Pacific, 9 a.m Eastern, 9 p.m Australian Western Standard Time Zone. And like I did state earlier, I am flying back to Perth on Tuesday. So it’s probably going to be a one-week hiatus in terms of the uploads, since you have actually constantly got to take a trip, and also overcome jet-lag. Because we all know what occurs when Paul gets jet-lag. Um-um, um-um, um-um. Anyway, thank you a lot for enjoying, I actually do appreciate it and, yeah, I’ll see you next Thursday.
