This is my last weekend here in New York City. It’s currently Saturday, and I’m currently attempting to multi-task, and get access to my office. Which is at WeWork based out of New york city city about a block away from Times Square. I think in today’s episode, what we’re going to do, is gon na have a little sit down, right there. But I believe prior to I do go and take a seat there, considered that it is a Saturday and there is no one else here. No one else here at all. Ahhh, I believe it’s probably great for us to do a little tour of this coworking space, and provide you a bit of an insight regarding why I love coworking areas, so much. Let’s start over here, at the snacks area. Right, so you have actually got a self-serve snack area over here. You got yer Cokes. You got yer Red Bulls. All self-serve which is actually, truly cool. Alrighty, and over here we have actually filtered water which is fun. Throughout the week they usually have a flavoured water thing set over here which is cool. All this is unlimited so we can have complimentary espresso, which is what you desire, that’s what you enjoy. Otherwise they’ve got drip coffee over here. All the facilities right, all the facilities. And after that we have actually got the lunch area here. Look after the environment, make certain you recycle. You have actually got all the coworking areas over here, which is truly cool. This pumps during the week. We’ve likewise got mad, amazing views out here. Not a bad view, not the very best day, but not a bad view still. And then we’ve got these little cubicles, which are likewise enjoyable to operate in. And this is basically, yeah the coworking location. We have actually got high speed WiFi internet all over, we’ve also got the security cameras up everywhere in here which is likewise truly fun, since if you have actually got a lot of pricey devices like I do, and you’ve likewise got, like,
I’m loading a lot into this knapsack. Right, like a lot into this backpack. If you’ve got a lot of pricey equipment, and you are working in a coworking space, it is nice to know that we’ve got all of this security around. So I do what to go out, and choose a roam, or go on an experience throughout the day, I have the ability to leave all of my things here, conserve and sound with no tension or worry about it going missing. You understand what I mean? This is Floor 12. Let’s reveal us the rest of this office. And this is the same office space that I worked out of in 2017 when I lived here for the summer. Precisely the same workplace. An amazing group of individuals, everybody that I’ve met through the WeWork community’s been definitely awesome, and all the personnel here are unbelievable. So, let’s continue. All in here are the personal workplaces. You can either get a private workplace, or you can just do the hot-desk, coworking desk like I’ve done. Once again, just all personal workplaces through here. Nothing actually excessive to see. Got the printer area, and stationary location down here. Something that I do like, and like I truly, really enjoy this, and it’s also a feature that Flux, the coworking area that I work out of in Perth, on St Georges Terrace, likewise has, they’ve got their own variation of this. And these are private little telephone booths slash with deep work booths, right. So you basically you can get in here, close the door. You’ve got a little light, and you have actually got USB charger. I’ve done lots of, many prior to WiFi call here in this cubicle or in among these cubicles. Being here it’s just a terrific way to, if you wan na work on something that’s truly personal, or if you wan na to have a personal discussion, or if you wan na simply work in a deep work area with no distractions, these are the locations to work. Proceeding. More private workplaces. And then the other cool thing is, you’ve got these meeting rooms Wework Website
which are up in here, and also up there. And this continues, it’s essentially the exact same kind of layout on this flooring as it is upstairs. When you sign up for the workplace area, and you can employ these personal conference rooms out as part of the credit you get. Now in regards to expense, I believe I paid, and fix me if I’m wrong but I believe, from memory, I paid about 550 U.S. dollars for a months worth of coworking space here, which includes, use of the printer, use of the web, use of security, 24 seven access to the coworking area. And appearance, in regards to worth for cash- I’m gon na set this down ’cause my arm injures, it’s a heavy cam. Sorry, in regards to worth for cash it’s just, for me, having the ability to just roll into a city, pick up where I ended, pay-as-you-go, and it’s the same thing with Flux back in Perth. In terms of coworking, for me the ability to be able to roll into a city, pick up where you left off, or perhaps roll into a brand-new city, get set-up with a coworking space, which is secure, which has really quick web, which has all the facilities that you require, and so far more, with a lot of incredible people and a fantastic community. It’s simply, absolutely like it. For a digital wanderer, for digital entrepreneurs, and likewise for entrepreneurs that are in that solo stage. Who’re just in terms of that start-up stage, and they don’t wan na work from house any longer. Because look, I’ve worked from home prior to and you can get a bit lonesome, and you can get a little bit of cabin fever. Coworking areas are a truly, really, versatile method for you to be able to satisfy brand-new people, network. Work in an area which is removed from your house, without investing too much money. And likewise without needing to worry about that repaired dedication. And ABC in Perth actually interviewed me about this a week or 2 back, and I’ll leave a link to that post perhaps’ll, whoop. ABC actually interviewed me about why I enjoy coworking spaces so much a few weeks earlier. So if you’re interested go and examine that out. And before we end the chat, I believe what I’m gon na leave you with is one of my preferred, favourite, features about this location. Which is, erm, it’s over here, let’s go. Let’s go. We’ll begin, we’ll begin here. Get one of these. Among these ones. Ooooh, they’re tapped. They’re tapped. So normally during the week, there is unlimited free beer on tap here. Today, looks like it’s a no-winner (wawhow music) like I said previously. Today’s a bit unfortunate, since it is my final Saturday, my final weekend here in New York City. And I do fly home to Perth on Tuesday. 33 hour commute, eagerly anticipating that. (bell rings) But it is bitter-sweet, like I am actually ecstatic go home, back to Perth. I’m really thrilled to catch up with my friends, my family, and get back into the grind, and start making moves, and simply getting the little things done. I’m also actually sad that I’m leaving one of my preferred places in the world, and leaving some of my favourite individuals in the world. Yeah. Bitter-sweet is the very best way I would explain how I feel today. Really bitter-sweet. Look that there concludes this episode of the blog. I’m gon na go ahead and hint the surge, however before we do that, if you are not currently subscribed, go ahead and hit the Subscribe button. I drop in videos every Thursday, 6 a.m Pacific, 9 a.m Eastern, 9 p.m Australian Western Standard Time Zone. And like I did state earlier, I am flying back to Perth on Tuesday. It’s most likely going to be a one-week hiatus in terms of the uploads, because you’ve always got to take a trip, and likewise get over jet-lag. When Paul gets jet-lag, because we all know what happens. Um-um, um-um, um-um. Anyway, thank you a lot for enjoying, I really do appreciate it and, yeah, I’ll see you next Thursday.
