Although both St. Kitts and Nevis have international airports, air service between the two islands is not predictable. Travelers can arrange to take international flights to both St. Kitts and Nevis, but will probably take the regularly scheduled ferry service between the islands.
The majority of vacationers flying to St. Kitts or Nevis will fly into Robert L. Bradshaw Golden Rock Airport in Golden Rock, St. Kitts. Select locations in the United States offer non-stop flights to St. Kitts. To reach Vance W. Amory International Airport on Nevis, travelers will take a small or charter air service from another Caribbean island. American Eagle has two daily flights to Nevis from San Juan, and charter services provide transportation from islands such as Antigua.
Previously, Nevis Express provided reliable and fairly inexpensive air service between the two islands. However, this service is no longer operation. Although some charter flight companies still provide air transportation between the two islands, the service can be erratic.
Regularly scheduled ferries make daily runs between the two islands. These quick ocean crossings are the method of choice for traveling between St. Kitts and Nevis. Some rental car companies on St. Kitts will even arrange for vacationers to have use of a car for a day when visiting Nevis.
Although vacationers can reach both islands by air, most will choose to travel by sea between St. Kitts and Nevis.
