Casinos in St. Kitts

You're already on the beautiful island of St. Kitts, how much more lucky can you get?  Many vacationers choose to take their luck and run with it, by spending some time playing games of chance in island casinos.

If you're looking for a lot of gambling options on your Caribbean vacation, St. Kitts might not be the place for you, as there are only three casinos on the island.  For most vacationers, this poses no issue, and in fact they are perfectly content choosing just one casino and sticking to it. 

The Casinos

If you're looking to spend the big bucks, you might just qualify to claim some space in the private salon for high rollers at the Royal Beach Casino.   Even if you're looking for something a little more casual, you can have fun making your way around the 35,000 square foot gaming facility.  This is the larger of the casinos on the island, and features 31 live gaming tables, including 3 Card Poker, Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, and Texas Hold-Em.  There are also over 350 slot machines.  For those patrons who prefer to play against other players, there are weekly Texas Hold-Em tournaments.  Royal Beach Casino is located on the property of the St. Kitts Marriott Resort in Frigate Bay.

Formerly known as Jack Tar Village, the Royal St. Kitts Hotel & Casino is also located in the popular Frigate Bay.  The casino is a small one, with 50 slot machines and two gaming tables that feature baccarat and roulette, but it does the job, and many vacationers have had many a good time in this gaming facility. 

The newest casino in St. Kitts, Mapau Casino, is located at the Port Zante entertainment complex in Bassettere.  Gamers will find 166 slot machines and other electric gaming machines such as roulette, and one live roulette table.  Also on site is the Sweet Lime Restaurant & Bar, which not only features good food, but live local entertainment on a regular basis.  The casino is open Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. until 1 a.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m., and on Sundays from 6 p.m. until midnight.

Whether you choose the glitz and glamor of the high rollers club at Royal Beach Casino, the quieter, more intimate feel of the Royal St. Kitts Hotel & Casino, or the lively scene at Mapau Casino, a night spent out at one of St. Kitts' casinos is one that is sure to rank as one of your top moments on the island.  Bring a little extra cash for betting, and keep your fingers crossed.  You may just return home from your St. Kitts vacation with more money than you started with.
