...catch a glimpse of the past...

From forts to plantation houses and even older portions of the cities, you'll find plenty of historical landmarks to visit. Vacationers who would like to learn more about either Caribbean history or local history on the islands can catch a glimpse of what the region was like during the colonial period.

If old ruins or restored structures aren't quite your style, but you'd still like to catch a glimpse of the past, there are other places to go as well. Visiting Independence Square can be a great way to learn about the island's historic involvement in the slave trade, and a visit to the Carib petroglyphs allows you to explore history from the times before the earliest European travelers.

Nature

Nature enthusiasts won't need to stick to the beach either. Gardens are some of the more centralized natural sights you can enjoy during your stay. However, birdwatchers in particular can find a place to catch a wide range of the birds who make their home on the island.

So, no matter what kind of attraction you'd like to visit during your stay in St. Kitts and Nevis, you'll find plenty of options. Plan to make the most of your vacation by taking in both a bit of history and a bit of sun.
