Both islands have exceptional hiking. Mount Liamuiga on St. Kitts takes hikers though an unspoiled rainforest to the outer edge of a dormant volcano. A hike up Nevis Peak will take visitors to the tip of this cone-shaped island. Atop these mountains, hikers can observe native colorful birds, flowers and butterflies.  

Hikers are able to tour the mountains on their own; however, guided tours are also available for those who want more information about the islands' wildlife and culture. Snorkeling is also popular, and the region boasts exceptional coral reefs to explore. Check with a hotel or tourist office about available mountain tours or snorkeling packages.
