Especially popular with American tourists, Jamaican-style all-inclusive resorts offer guests cuisine that is familiar to American appetites and the security that many tourists seek. All-inclusive resorts provide just about everything one needs need during a vacation - food, beverages, lodging, activities - and they combine it all into one bill for convenience. Although St. Kitts and Nevis are not known for their all-inclusive resorts, the recent rise in tourism and the development of the area of South Friar's Bay and Frigate Bay on the southern peninsula of St. Kitts have increased the demand for this style of accommodation. Most all-inclusive resorts are located in this area. All-inclusive resorts on these islands offer guests many activities and amenities for one flat price. This price typically includes meals and snacks throughout the day, as well as local alcoholic beverages, juices, and sodas. Guests are often invited to enjoy activities such as golf, snorkeling, wind surfing, and access to an exercise room. Most all-inclusives also provide some kind of late-night entertainment, such as dancing or themed parties. Amenities and activities vary from resort to resort, so make sure to look into the different options before making a final choice. All-inclusive resorts on the islands are family-friendly and can often provide cribs and roll-away cots for children to sleep on. Most resorts have playrooms for children and teens, but this will depend on each resort. Be sure to check into this before you book a room. If gambling is your style, you're in luck because many of these resorts have on-site casinos. Gambling, however, is not part of the all-inclusive bill and will require extra cash. Resorts will also charge extra for excursions inland, valet parking, and other"high cost" activities such as deep-sea fishing and horseback riding. If you find that a resort has all the activities you wish to enjoy on your vacation, then an all-inclusive resort will be just right for you. However, if you wish to get out and explore the islands, you might want to opt for other accommodations where you will not feel obligated to participate in activities that you pay for with your room. If pampering, convenience, and lots of food and drink are important for your ideal vacation on St. Kitts and Nevis, then the all-inclusive resort is just for you. However, plenty of other options are available on either island if something different is more your style. Related Articles
